Start where you are

Start where you are

As normal human beings, whenever we face a situation to come to aid for someone, we either make two choices: to help, or to turn our gaze somewhere else. As Christians, as followers of Christ, we must choose to help our fellow human. God has bestowed upon us many graces; financial, physical or spiritual. We must not let those graces go to waste, and in all situations we must try to help others.

Everyone of us has a starting point, where we obtain those graces and make them work to our advantage and especially for the advantage of others. Remember where you started, and always look forward, having in mind to always help those in need. Because, you do not know when and if you will be in the shoes of the needy.

Never make excuses, always know that God is watching over you and He will repay your kindness. Never put it off by saying that “I’ll help out when I get more money,” “I’ll come to their aid when I get my things in order,” “I’ll give a helping hand when it is convenient for me and when the time is right.”

The time is always right to help others, and by helping others, you will help yourself. Even if it is a baby step, start where you are and always look ahead.
